摘要：Elastomer compositions having improved cut resistance useful for preparing thetread of tires particularly for large motortrucks or for off-road running, whichcompositions can be produced by compounding a particular petroleum resin in theamount of 5-40 weight parts, and more preferably 5-20 weight parts with 100 weightparts of styrene-butadiene elastomeric copolymer. The petroleum resin is a polymer ofcyclopentadiene and/or dicyclopentadiene or copolymer thereof with an olefinic

hydrocarbon copolymerizable therewith, and has a softening point of 50 DEG -200 DEG Cand more preferably 80 DEG -150 DEG C and a bromine value of 40-150 and morepreferably 50-150.
