摘要：The invention relates to an apparatus and method for simultaneous extrarenalblood purification therapy and respiration support therapy. The apparatus includes aCOremoving means having a first inlet for receiving a flow of blood for COremoval and a

first outlet for expelling blood deprived of CO. The apparatus also includes filteringmeans having a first inlet for receiving the flow of blood, a first outlet for expellingpurified blood, and at least one drain channel. The drain channel directs a diluting liquidobtained from the blood expelled during purification of the blood. The drain channel isdirectly connected to the first inlet of the COremoving means to supply the dilutingliquid to the COremoving means without submitting the diluting liquid to any filteringtreatment during passage along the drain channel.
