Step 1: Daily greetings.

Step2: Show “Studying aims”. (1’) T: Today we’ll learn Unit9 Section B(2b). Please look at our “Studying
aims”.(Then I read them slowly.) T: Are you clear? S: Yes.
T: Let’s go on.
Show “Guide One” to the students.
Guide One (6’)
Read 2b aloud, and answer the following questions. 1. What does Joe do? 2. What does he draw? 3. What does he want to do ?
4. Why is this job sometimes difficult?
T: Please look at “Guide One”
(Read these questions for the students slowly.) T: Are you clear? S: Yes.
T: Good. Please read aloud and find out the answers. I will give you 2 minutes. Please go.
T: Time is up. If you have finished, hands up, please. (Students put up their hands.)
T: Good. Who can answer the first question? Hands up, please. (Then ask some of them to answer the questions.后进生回答)
T: You are so clever. Let’s go on our lesson. Please look at “Guide Two”.
Step 3: Guide Two (10’)
Read 2b silently and finish the following tasks within 4 minutes.
1. Find out the difficult points.
2. Underline the phrases. If it’s necessary, I’ll help them.
